The Soulaan Flag | Soul Autochthonous American Nation Lineage Banner
The Soulaan Flag is a sovereign lineage standard representing autochthonous Black Americans whose roots, memory, and frequency are indigenous to the land now known as the United States.
Soulaan means “Soul American,” with the doubled “a” signifying Autochthonous American. This is an ethnic designation, not a nationality. It describes a people formed here through time, labor, memory, and ancestral continuity.
The indigo-toned star field overlays the traditional constellation of stars in honor of erased architects and artisans such as Grace Wisher, a Black American seamstress whose contributions to early American flag making were largely omitted from history. Indigo functions as a memory pigment, staining the fabric to reveal what was always present but obscured.
At the center stands the Sword and Wreath Trident. The blade merges the Civil War Navy cutlass and the Buffalo Soldier saber, grounded in both steel and soil. The surrounding sassafras wreath, an herb of warding and remembrance, sanctifies the blade as a guardian instrument rather than a symbol of conquest. Together they form a trinitarian axis of Breath, Emotion, and Attention; Mind, Body, and Spirit; Past, Present, and Future.
The thirteen red and white stripes correspond to the 13-month Soulaan calendar, encoding ancestral timekeeping rather than colonial origin myths. Red represents blood memory and survival will. White represents bone light and purified remembrance. Thirteen marks completion and re-emergence, the return to Source after trial.
The fifty stars represent land-to-sky portals once sealed and now observed. Numerologically, five signifies the Solar Hierophant. In Soulaan doctrine, this is the Code Holder, the guardian of pattern and lawful memory. Truth is not erased. It is misused until reclaimed.
This flag is not decorative. It is declarative.
It does not ask permission. It remembers.
Printed on durable, high-quality fabric, the Soulaan Flag is designed for long-term display as a lineage marker, cultural standard, and mnemonic of sovereign return.
